Premiership Competition

The Association conducts a seasonal Premiership Competition where Individual Clubs compete against other clubs in their respective divisions. There are six divisions in the competition from the Premier Division down to 5th Division. Each club competes for points in specific meets during the season.

For the 2008/2009 season the Club's in the Premier. First and Second Divisions, clubs with some of the highest profile swimmers in Australia, compete for points in the Short Course Meet, Spring Sprint, Long Course Meet, Senior Metropolitan Championships & Junior Metropolitan Championships.
For the 2008/2009 season the Clubs in the Third Division to the Fifth Division compete for Premiership points in the Spring Sprint, Long Course Meet, Restricted Meet, Senior Metropolitan Championships & Junior Metropolitan Championships.
Points are awarded to each swimmer by comparing the swimmers performance against other swimmers from the same division.

At the end of a swim meet the swimmers points are totalled and clubs are awarded points by comparing their total points against the points attained by other clubs within that Division.
Bonus points are also awarded to each club for the percentage of first places achieved by the club within the division.
